TORONTO INDIE THEATRE GENERAL AUDITIONS

In November 2022, Members of the Toronto Indie Theatre Community, including the The Assembly Theatre, Leroy Street Theatre, One Four One Collective, Love2Theatre, Common Boots Theatre, Howland Theatre Company, Shakespeare In The Ruff, Witchboy Theatre, Spur of The Moment Shakespeare Collective, Theatre Passe Muraille among many others, held the first communal Indie Theatre General Auditions!

We had nearly 400 submissions for 190 time slots which was AMAZING!
​
The Indie Theatre community continue to be committed to addressing barriers both within the theatre industry, and within our own community of artists and encouraged and prioritized submissions from members of equity-seeking communities, including artists who are BIPOC, LGBTQ2S+, and/or Disability-identified. We also prioritized new grads (those who graduated within the last 3 years).

Thank you to everyone who attended the 4 days. It was so lovely to meet everyone and we look forward to collaborating in the future.
